SHAPING THE FUTURE OF RURAL CONNECTIVITY

The Symposium is now SOLD OUT. Please click the registration link to be added to the waitlist.

The aim of this day will be to provide advice to Government on how the $150M new funding for improving rural broadband (RBI2) and mobile blackspots can be best utilised. The ability to gather together a large number of rural stakeholders to provide a response to the Government’s request is a great opportunity for us to provide a strong unified response which reflects the voices of rural users of telecommunications services.

Reliable and affordable telecommunications services are critical to the health and wellbeing of our rural communities, they...

• help make our rural towns more livable

• open the door to new health technologies, improve access to health services and help with the retention and recruitment of our health professionals

• minimise the sense of isolation

• encourage more economic development opportunities

• are an important component of health and safety plans for rural workers and business owners.

This is a unique opportunity we have before us and we need as many rural stakeholders involved as possible.
