Cyber Security Briefing: Insights into the Recent DDOS Attacks

15/09/2020 @ 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM

Over the last few weeks we’ve seen an increase in media attention to the most recent cyber attacks that have taken place in NZ – none more so than the very public ongoing attacks at institutions like the NZX.

In a year where we are constantly being disrupted, this upswing in attacks reminds us that we need to be ever vigilant of this type of activity.  So what’s happening – and is it really as simple as a series of concerted DDOS attacks, or is there more to it?  We do know that these seem to be some of the largest attacks we’ve seen in NZ so why now?

Along with KPMG, we’re hosting a panel discussion on these very questions on Tuesday 15th September from 4 – 5pm to cover these, and other questions you might have.

Joining the panel will be:

Craig Young, CEO, TUANZ

Philip Whitmore, Partner, KPMG

Hilary Walton, CISO, Kordia

Michael Shearer, Principle for Threat and Vulnerability, CERT

There’ll also be plenty of time for Q&A, and we look forward to you joining us for this timely discussion.

You can register for the event and get the webinar details here.
