A workshop on strengthening personal wellbeing and resilience which are vital to keep moving forward in this time of world changing events.
Recent world events have meant that people are under strain both personally and professionally, so an understanding of how to strengthen personal wellbeing and resilience is vital to keep moving forward.
On completion of this workshop participants will:
– Be able to discuss what makes up wellbeing and what we can do to enhance our well-being
– Understand the continuum of mental health and the impacts of distress on people’s minds and lives
– Explain how we strengthen our personal resilience and wellbeing to flourish in times of adversity and change.

This workshop is being presented by Ignite: Ignite is social enterprise that’s changing the way New Zealanders access mental health and wellbeing support, starting with employee assistance and wellbeing for workplaces. Backed by large social service NGO Emerge, Ignite provides evidence abased, modern resources to workplaces that support wellbeing across a range of areas. Ignite’s workshops form part of a suite of services including an online Employee Assistance and wellbeing support platform and a free curated resource library. Through innovative technology, education and research, Ignite aim to give every person the opportunity to realise their potential.
And our facilitator is Kylie Ryan who has a clinical background in Mental Health Social Work, over the past 20 years she has gone on to specialise in organisational wellbeing and suicide prevention, sexual harassment and violence prevention, family violence prevention, and drug and alcohol related harm. Most recently she has been the Wellbeing Advisor to both The University of Auckland and BNZ – assisting them put wellbeing interventions in place to ensure effective outcomes for staff and their wider communities and shares her experience and expertise with Ignites clients and users via our online workshops.
This online workshop is being led by the FLINT team in Christchurch but available to anyone interesting in taking part.
